Islamic Wills

The Holy Quran specifically states that it is the duty of every Muslim to make a will disposing of his or her property according to “sharia law”.

Despite this principle being reinforced by various ahadith of the holy prophet (S.A.W) and the sayings and sermons of our Holy Imams, little attention appears to have been given to the matter by Muslims living in England and Wales.

If the reason for this be that there is no publication which deals in a simple and presentable format with the interaction between Sharia law and English law then it is hoped that this book may provide the answer.

It has been written to assist the lay reader in making a will under English Law while at the same time enabling him to effectively dispose of his property in accordance with the Sharia Law of Inheritance.
