A Commentary of the 30th Part of the Holy Qur'an
By Shaykh Habib Al-Kadhimi
The Illuminating Lantern is a commentary of the 30th part of the Holy Qur'an, compiled specifically to shed light on the verses that we often recite. Through its clear format and focus on practical advice, this book aims to encourage us to ponder over the verses in a way that brings about self-development and a closer connection to Allah (swt).
This second edition also includes an index of terms as well as the surahs in Arabic and English.
Shaykh Habib al-Kadhimi is a contemporary Muslim scholar who resides in Kuwait.
He completed his higher lever studies (bahth al-kharij) in Qom. Some of the teachers from whom he benefitted during his stay there were: Shaykh Mirza Hashim al- Amuli, Shaykh Husayn Wahid al-Khurasani, Sayyid Kadhim al-Husayn al-Ha'iri, Shaykh Muhammad Taqi Bahjat, and Sayyid Abdolkarim Al Kishmiri.
From the moment he began his studies in the seminary, Shaykh Habib al-Kadhimi was active in propagating the religion of Islam. He founded a seminary, Hawzat al-Athar, in Qom and Majma'al-Zahra' at the shrine of Imam al-Ridha (a) in Mashhad, as well as a website (alseraj.net) and a satellite television channel (al-Ma'aref).
